Importance of Lead aVL in STEMI Recognition. In 2013 an article was published in Prehospital Emergency Care that measured the ability of paramedics to identify acute STEMI on the 12-lead ECG. This finding is so sensitive that the absence of a reciprocal change in lead aVL should make you doubt the diagnosis of acute inferior STEMI. Since ECG lead signals reflect activity in different parts of the heart because of their position, they are said to 'look' at different aspects of the heart: • sll, sill and aVF look at the inferior surface of the heart LA/RL(N) lead reversal has the following ECG features: Lead I becomes identical to lead II. Lead aVL, I and –aVR are called lateral limb leads, because they primarily observe the lateral wall of the left ventricle. Note that lead aVR differs from lead –aVR (discussed below). All six limb leads are presented in a coordinate system, which the right hand side of Figure 18 (panel A) shows.

Behandling: Asymtomatiskt  aVL (-30°) - Vänster arm mot referensen. Ser hjärtatuppifrån vänster, snett ned mot hjärtat vilket ger en vinkel på -30° från horisontalplanet. -aVR (30°) - Höger  Akut-EKG (Stat ECG). Ett auto-EKG som påbörjas utan att systemet väntar på att du ska ange patientuppgifter. Patientdata visas inte. VARNING! För att undvika att  exempelvis: Sinusrytm, frekvens 65 slag per min, väsentligen normalt EKG. Positiva.
